Help & FAQ
Pick a topic or a product. For anything else, contact us. One working day, usually faster.
Who is Bergmis?
A small UK team making practical household, garden and care products. Bergmis is a trading name of HDS Innovation Limited (company no. 16623018), registered in London, and sister brand to Bergvich, our paper & packaging range.
What if my product develops a fault?
Start a return via Amazon if you're inside the returns window. Outside it, email us with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we'll sort a replacement or refund directly. We stand behind what we sell.
How fast do you reply to questions?
Within one working day, usually faster. Questions land with the UK team who chose the products, not a ticket queue.
Do you have a product I should make?
Genuinely, tell us. Half our range started as "why is every version of this so bad?" Send your idea.
How do deliveries work?
Every order is fulfilled by Amazon from their UK warehouses, with Prime delivery where you have it and tracking in Your Orders in your Amazon account.
How do returns and refunds work?
Amazon's standard returns policy applies to every Bergmis purchase. Start it from Your Orders; it's the fastest route, no need to contact us first.
My order arrived damaged. What now?
Request a replacement or refund through Amazon's returns process; it's immediate. If anything gets stuck, email us and we'll push it through.
Why do you sell exclusively on Amazon UK?
It's genuinely the best infrastructure for fast delivery and no-fuss returns. We'd rather do one channel properly than three badly. Find everything on our storefront.
Are the prices on this site the final prices?
Prices shown here are RRPs. Amazon runs its own promotions and deals, so the live listing is always the price you'll actually pay, and often lower.
How do I find all Bergmis products on Amazon?
Visit our Amazon storefront: every live product in one place, or use the Buy buttons on each product page here.
Can I buy Bergmis at trade volume?
Yes. Care homes, mobility retailers, hardware shops, facilities teams and trade buyers order directly from us at carton and pallet quantities. Start on the wholesale page.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum for a first conversation. Tell us products and rough volumes; we'll come back within one working day with pricing and lead times.
Do you invoice properly for business purchases?
Yes. Proper UK invoicing from HDS Innovation Limited, with VAT handled correctly.
Will large vitamins and fish-oil capsules fit?
Yes, that's the point of it. The compartments are oversized so a full day's tablets, fish-oil capsules and chunky softgels sit side by side without crushing.
Does the week start on Monday or Sunday?
Monday. Each of the seven compartments is clearly labelled by day.
Will the lids pop open in a bag?
No. Each lid snap-locks shut and stays closed in handbags and luggage, but still opens cleanly when you want it to.
Is it BPA-free and how do I clean it?
BPA-free plastic throughout. Rinse with warm soapy water and let it dry open.
What comes in the box?
The folding chair, a removable bucket with lid, a toilet-roll holder, and, unlike most competitors, 25 liners and 25 absorbent pads, so it's usable from night one.
Does it fold and does it need tools?
It folds flat in seconds with no tools, so it can live behind a door or under a bed between uses.
Which replacement liners fit it?
Our 50-pack liners with absorbent pads are sized for this bucket exactly.
How sturdy is it?
A rigid powder-coated steel frame that doesn't wobble. For the specific weight rating, check the live Amazon listing or ask us.
Do they fit commodes other than the Bergmis chair?
Yes. They're sized for standard commode buckets, and they work well in camping toilets and for travel potty training too.
How do the absorbent pads work?
Each liner includes a pad that turns liquid to gel on contact: no splashes, far less smell, and emptying becomes a ten-second job.
How do I dispose of a used liner?
Pull the drawstring, lift it out, and bin it with normal household waste. Hands stay clean throughout.
How long does a 50-pack last?
With one or two changes a day, several weeks. It's a proper supply rather than a fortnightly reorder.
What laptop sizes fit?
Anything from 10" to 17". The layered foam inserts adapt to the machine, from a MacBook Air to a 17" workstation.
What are the box dimensions?
External: 17 × 12 × 4 inches (43 × 30.5 × 10 cm), double-walled corrugated board.
Can I reuse it?
Yes. It's built for repeat trips, with a cut-out carry handle. IT teams use these for laptop rotations.
Is a courier journey really safe in it?
The laptop floats in foam on every face: corners, edges, flats. It's the packaging style IT departments use, sold as a single box.
Does it work outdoors in rain and frost?
Yes. The 80-grit surface and weatherproof adhesive are designed for outdoor steps, ramps and decking through UK winters.
How do I apply it so it lasts?
Clean the surface, let it dry fully, apply above 10°C, press down hard along the whole strip (a wallpaper roller works), then give it 24 hours before heavy use.
What sizes are available?
50mm and 100mm widths, both 10m long, as single rolls or 2-packs.
Which surfaces does it stick to?
Wood, metal, stone, concrete and most sealed surfaces. On painted or delicate finishes, test a small patch first, as strong adhesive can lift weak paint on removal.
Is this the right tape for workplace safety marking?
Yes. It's the standard yellow/black hazard chevron safety audits expect, with 80-grit anti-slip traction built in. One tape marks the hazard and stops the slip.
Can it be used outside?
Yes. The weatherproof adhesive and grit surface are made for outdoor steps, loading ramps and site edges as much as warehouse floors.
What sizes are available?
50mm and 100mm widths, both 10m long, single rolls or 2-packs.
How does it compare to the black version?
Same 80-grit traction and adhesive; the difference is pure visibility. Black blends in on home stairs; yellow/black announces the hazard.
What temperatures does it handle?
−30°C to 120°C: freezer pipework to hot ducting, without lifting or going brittle.
What jobs is it for?
Sealing ductwork, patching insulation, wrapping pipes, draught-proofing and flashing repairs. It's the tape for jobs where duct tape gives up.
Is it actually waterproof?
Yes. Aluminium foil plus a high-tack adhesive gives an airtight, watertight seal that holds for years.
How much is on a roll?
50 metres per roll, in 50mm or 100mm widths, enough for a whole loft, not one joint.
Which drains does it work on?
Bathroom sinks, showers, baths and kitchen plugholes: six tools with different lengths and heads cover the common traps.
Is it safe for pipes and septic tanks?
Yes. It clears mechanically, no chemicals, so it's kinder to pipework, septic systems and the person doing the job.
Are the tools reusable?
Yes, just rinse them after use. The stainless steel brush and snakes are built for repeat jobs.
Will it get through a U-bend?
The flexible steel snakes bend through U-bends and tight traps to where the clog actually lives.
Does it need wiring or batteries?
Neither. The solar panel charges it during the day and it glows automatically from dusk. Place it and forget it.
Will it survive British weather?
Yes. IP65-rated, so rain, frost and sprinklers are all fine.
How big is it?
17cm tall: noticeable in a border or on a step, but happy in a balcony pot too.
Is every duck identical?
They're individually hand-painted resin, so expect tiny variations. That's the charm, not a defect.
